If you still find pleasure, adventure, knowledge, self awareness, and even solace between the covers of a book, WORDS Bookstore is for you. WORDS opened in August of 2006 offering a fresh selection of books in the Hardy Area. Located in the Old Walker House on the National Historic Register at 201 Spring Street, it houses not only works of fiction, non-fiction, but also fine artwork of local artists, gifts, cards, postcards, and pictures of Hardy of times past. Much of the old Walker House CIRCA 1900's has been preserved including the wood burning fireplace and kitchen sink. Pictures of Ms Walker's Piano Class adorn the walls.

Grab a book or two and cozy up on the couch in front of the fireplace or sit outside on the patio infront of the firepit while you warm up to the reading. We feature special events such as Book Signings, Art Shows, Readings, and "How To" Classes. Book Clubs and other special reading related events are supported year round.

WORDS features over 5,000 titles for sale, some at reduced prices. Special orders are always welcome and can usually be received in 3-4 days.
