Charley Sandage lives near Mountain View, Arkansas, he says, “because that’s where my kind of music is.” He plays traditional music at the Ozark Folk Center and wherever folks gather and writes his oldtime-influenced songs out in a hollow above Tomahawk Creek where he lives with his wife, Vicki.

Charley’s musical roots include rockabilly (in the late fifties when it was still real), the “folkie” era of the sixties, and years of playing in mostly acoustic bands. He’s the writer for the “Arkansas Stories” series that features Stone County’s trio called “Harmony” doing songs about characters and events in Arkansas history.
